Forest City Washington partnered with Gould Property Company in the Konterra joint venture to develop the 488-acre Konterra Town Center East. The first phase is due to deliver in 2012. The partnership, combining local knowledge with national strength, foresees a long-term commitment to the vibrant Konterra community which will offer living, working, shopping and dining.
Konterra Town Center East will be a new community offering local, regional and national retail stores, restaurants and entertainment, in addition to commercial office buildings, hotels, community squares and parks.
When completed, Konterra will be a mixed-use community of retail, entertainment, office, hospitality, housing and community space. Konterra Town Center will be designed to integrate development and create a sense of community, offering green open spaces, parks and common areas and various cultural amenities. It will be the northern gateway to Prince George’s County.
The housing component at Konterra Town Center East will include a variety of housing types, conveniently located to the retail core and connected to community roads. Regionally, residents, including those from Konterra, will enjoy improved, convenient access as a result of new and improved roads.
