As the northern gateway to Prince George’s County, the Konterra Town Center development will provide a variety of unique restaurants, fashion retail, parks, and places to live and work.
Konterra Town Center is planned to include upscale retail, shopping, and dining destinations, intermixed with office and residential uses. The Town Center will generate additional revenue for the inclusion of a civic framework, such as police, fire and other community services. Additionally, these new businesses are estimated to generate over 12,000 new local jobs.
Konterra Town Center will have easy access throughout the neighborhood via pedestrian sidewalks, bike paths and greenways, as well as much needed road improvements.
Konterra Town Center envisions attractive architectural design and landscaping, in addition to open space for jogging, biking and other regional and local outdoor recreation activities.
Forest City Washington, partnered with Gould Property Company, will develop the 488-acre Konterra Town Center East. The first phase is due to deliver in 2012. The partnership, combining local knowledge with national strength, foresees a long-term commitment to the vibrant Konterra community which will offer living, working, shopping and playing.
